88% of Nantucket neighbors at risk of food insecurity are seniors or families with children.
Think about that. Our kids. Our seniors. The family members that make this island a community.
Older adults managing on fixed incomes. Families stretching every dollar between rent, childcare, and groceries. Nearly 1 in 2 Nantucket students qualifies for school meal assistance, and when summer comes, that lifeline disappears.
That`s why Nourish Nantucket is working alongside nearly 20 partner programs to ensure every neighbor has reliable access to nutritious food. We’re starting the first summer student meals program on island this July.

We did it!
Nourish Nantucket’s commercial kitchen is officially licensed, and we’re getting ready to launch our Summer Student Meals Program.
This summer, students will be able to access free grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches when school is out, ensuring consistent access to nutritious meals throughout the summer months.
It’s an exciting step forward for our organization and for the families we serve. Stay tuned for more details as we get ready to welcome students through our doors!
