Women Infants and Children

Health Imperatives is a nonprofit organization that administers several health services on Nantucket, including the federal nutrition program Women Infants and Children (WIC). WIC provides free healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support and referrals to pregnant women, postpartum women, children under 5 and infants who qualify.

Community Food Hub

In 2025, Nourish Nantucket and the Nantucket Land Bank finalized the 
co-acquisition of 19 Boynton Lane, securing a permanent home for Nantucket’s food security work. Now designated as Nantucket Community Food Hub, the building houses the Nantucket Food Pantry, the Land Bank’s Agricultural Processing Center, meal preparation, and Nourish Nantucket.
