Led by manager Ruth Pitts and dedicated volunteers, the Food Pantry provides pantry staples, fresh produce and prepared meals year-round. They also make deliveries to some clients. The Food Pantry is a vital community partner in the effort to reduce food insecurity on the island.

Now that we have officially launched our new website, nourishnantucket.org, we are excited to embark upon this next chapter of partnership and growth. Although a few things have changed, like our name and website, our mission and our values haven`t. We will continue to:
➡️ Support & strengthen our food program partners
➡️ Examine the food sector to identify the gaps
➡️ Fundraise collectively & bring in new donors
➡️ Use our Food First platform to reach the maximum amount of clients

Interestingly and perhaps unsurprisingly, there are many parallels to be drawn between Atlanta and Nantucket. A great read to think about how to break down the barriers of housing and food insecurity in the future. Comment below if you`ve read this book #nonfictionreads #bookdiscussion #nantucket ...
