Nourish Nantucket is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to ensuring every Nantucketer is well-nourished. By strengthening collaboration among our partners, we help the island respond more effectively to food insecurity as one island and one community.
Our team of dedicated volunteers, staff, consultants, partners, and advisors combines expertise in food systems and food access programs, collaboration, nonprofit best practices, outreach, research, data and systems. We believe Nantucket is strongest when people and organizations work together. Nantucket has long been a place where neighbors help neighbors, and we honor the partners who have served this community for many years. By strengthening coordination across these efforts, we help the island respond more effectively to food insecurity as one island and one community.
Meg Browers is the Executive Director of Nourish Nantucket and has been with the organization since 2023. Before moving into nonprofit work, Meg was a teacher at Nantucket Public Schools. She has been deeply involved in the community over the years, serving on the Nantucket Affordable Housing Trust and school councils at Cyrus Peirce School, Nantucket Elementary School, and Nantucket Intermediate School. She also served as co-chair for PASCON Dreamcatcher, as co-President of the NPS teachers’ association, and on the boards of various other nonprofits. Meg is the proud mom of two incredible kids, Emy and Henry, and when she’s not working she loves taking them on adventures, going to concerts, and cheering on the Celtics. Meg cares deeply about our community and is committed to helping ensure Nantucket remains a place where families can truly live, work, and thrive.
Ashley se mudou de Boston para Nantucket em 2017. Sua formação é em educação internacional e hospitalidade, tendo trabalhado em pequenas organizações sem fins lucrativos e universidades. Kate mora em Nantucket desde 2007. Ela é bacharel em Finanças e Gestão Contábil pela Northeastern University e atualmente é aluna de pós-graduação no King's College, onde estuda Nutrição e Dietética. Mãe de dois filhos, Kate tem um interesse de longa data em saúde, nutrição e sistemas alimentares. Através de seus estudos de pós-graduação, ela está concluindo um estágio na Nourish Nantucket, onde atua como gerente de projetos CARAT e estagiária do programa, apoiando o acesso a alimentos e iniciativas comunitárias.
Laurie has lived on Nantucket for 25 years. Her most rewarding role is being a mother to Caroline and Merrick. She has also worn many hats on Nantucket, including owner of the photography studio, Pixel Perfect, and manager of the pilates studio, Core. She speaks Spanish and is passionate about helping people. In 2025, she was awarded the Fred Rogers Good Neighbor Award by Nantucket Dreamland. Laurie is thrilled to be able to give back to the Nantucket community which has always supported her.
A lifelong Nantucket native, Nicci has a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, driven by a deep passion for supporting the local community. She is also a talented artist, bringing creativity and unique vision to all her endeavors.
Brooke Mohr atua como membro da diretoria do NRP. Sua formação profissional é em serviço social e contabilidade. Atualmente, Brooke é membro do Select Board e atua no conselho financeiro da First Congregational Church. Ela é mãe de quatro filhos e avó de seis, dois dos quais nasceram em Nantucket.
Brian Lenane mudou-se para Nantucket permanentemente em março de 2019. Ele e sua família vêm a Nantucket desde o final dos anos 70. Bruce A. Percelay é presidente da Mount Vernon Company, uma das principais empresas de desenvolvimento imobiliário de Boston. Jon Fernandez and his family have been seasonal residents since 2022, after falling in love with the island with his wife (Caroline) on their honeymoon. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Yale Investments which manages the assets of Yale University. Prior to Yale, Jon was an executive in public company technology at VMware, and at the world’s largest hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates, where he was Deputy CFO and Head of Research. His expertise lies in strategic planning, digital transformation, and financial management. He currently serves on several other non-profit and start up boards. Jon holds an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A from the Yale School of Management.
Steve Segal and his wife, Ellen, have been coming to Nantucket since the late 1980s and became seasonal residents in 2006. He is a retired private equity investor and former co-founder of J.W. Childs Associates, a Boston-based private equity firm. Steve also spent 14 years as an Executive-in-Residence and Lecturer at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, where he developed and taught a graduate-level private equity course. He has served on numerous for-profit and nonprofit boards, continues to mentor emerging leaders, and brings experience in governance, finance, and strategic planning to the Nourish Nantucket Board.
Chuck e sua esposa Merle são proprietários de casas e residentes sazonais em Nantucket desde 1984. Eles valorizam a beleza natural e o charme elegante de Nantucket. Chuck e Merle têm duas filhas e três netos que passam algum tempo com eles em Nantucket durante o verão. Tricia nasceu e foi criada em Cape Cod e visita regularmente Nantucket desde a infância. In 2018, Tom co-founded Till Financial to tackle the financial literacy crisis by putting kids into the game with their own debit and save accounts. Till’s collaborative solution balances the desire by kids for independence and the requirement by parents for oversight. Till became a significant market player with a great product and low-cost go-to-market approach. In 2026, Till was acquired by Western and Southern as “a significant strategic investment and marks a defining step in the company’s expansion into digital family banking solutions”.
In 2008, Tom joined a small group of engineers as founding President and CEO of Digital Lumens. DL grew to over $50M in annual revenue as a leader in smart LED lighting and industrial IOT. In 2017, DL was acquired by OSRAM and is the seed of the company’s Boston-based innovation hub.
In 2000, Tom founded and served as President and CEO of Brix Networks. Brix was a global provider of converged service assurance solutions that allow the world’s largest service providers to offer reliable and high-quality experiences in voice, video, data, and mobile services. In 2007, Brix was acquired by EXFO and became the foundation for its service assurance market entry.
In 1998, Tom founded New Oak Communications, a pioneering leader in Virtual Private Networking (VPN). New Oak built the first enterprise-class VPN product for remote access of corporate networks. In 1998, New Oak was acquired by Bay Networks (now Nortel Networks).
Previously, as an industry analyst, he was director of Forrester Research’s Network Strategy Service, where he focused on the commercial use of the Internet. He was one of the first high-tech analysts to leave an industry research and consulting firm to start his own company. Earlier in his career, he held marketing and engineering positions of increasing responsibility at several Boston-area companies.
