What We Do

Food insecurity is a complex but solvable challenge. We continually assess needs across the island to understand  what is working, how needs may evolve, and where support is still lacking. When unmet needs are identified, we work with partners to expand existing programs or step forward with innovation and determination.

Coordinating Efforts

We are committed to openness, accountability, and clear communication. We honor and champion the organizations that have long served this community because food insecurity cannot be solved alone. By sharing information and aligning efforts, we help partners work more closely together to better serve our neighbors.

How We Do It

We strengthen Nantucket’s collective response to food insecurity by supporting partners, identifying unmet  needs, and helping to fill gaps.

Problem Analysis

We utilize thorough data analysis to understand the community’s needs and ensure our collective investments have the greatest impact.

Coordination & Collaboration

We foster a collaborative network, bringing together key partners to develop innovative and sustainable solutions.

Referrals & Shared Technology

Our client referral platform connects those in need with available resources, making it easier than ever to access support.

Grant Making and Collaboration To Secure Resources

By providing support via the Food Fund, we empower our partners to focus on their core mission: feeding people.

Your support enables us to continue this vital work and strengthen the island’s food security system to create a permanent solution for community members in need.
