NN Grocery Card Program

Rebecca, a beloved member of the Nantucket community, was struggling to afford basic necessities due to the island’s high cost of living.

The strain on her finances made it difficult to provide nutritious food for her children.

Thankfully, Rebecca discovered Nourish Nantucket. Through our strong partnership with the Family Resource Center and using our referral platform, she was seamlessly connected to the NN Grocery Card Program. This winter, Rebecca was provided supplemental monthly funding to purchase food for the family at the grocery store. Designed to be low-barrier, the program gives clients the freedom of choice to pick the food most needed and most suitable for their specific needs – fruit, vegetables, dairy, protein, and more. This reliable support eased Rebecca’s financial burden – in the challenging winter season – ensuring her family has access to healthy meals. Nourish Nantucket’s intervention made a tangible difference, allowing Rebecca to focus on other essential needs, knowing her family was well-fed.

600 Nantucketers served this winter as part of our Grocery Card program.
